Knox Medical, which is constructing a medical-marijuana dispensary in Orlando and grows products at a Winter Garden nursery, intends to open a dispensary in Gainesville.
Located about a mile the Gainesville site is sandwiched between stores for Kohl’s and Goodwill.
The business is headed by creators Jose J. Hidalgo, CEO, and Bruce Knox, COO.
The business said it is “working with Florida’s designers and top architects to create an unrivaled dispensary encounter that puts interests and the needs of our patients first.”

The Knox family has been running a conventional greenhouse for shrubs and flowers . The standard greenhouse employs about 120 people.
